Description
We use actual literature to help you read, speak, and write Standard American English. Our teaching style uses the Whole-Language Approach. You can hear some slides where you see the teacher speaking. Some sounds come from a bilabial upper tongue and others come from the lower tongue. Some English vocabulary's etymology includes French, German, and Spanish. Therefore, we use some of the digraphs (two letters that blend as one) as do the French, Germans, and Spanish. We will model the position of the mouth for you. The other slides allow you to hear the sounds. We model writing sentences. We show verb tenses. We allow you to download some of the portable document files (PDFs). We allow you to print some of the Microsoft Powerpoint slides. We show you how to change verbal tenses. We demonstrate how adjectives can become adverbs. We teach direct objects, dative case (indirect objects), and appositives. You will receive a 1/2 credit high-school-level credit from a Florida Department of Education private school upon completion of the class. Send a message to me if you have questions. We need at least four hours to respond to you. Most often, we respond within the same day. The longest response time is 72 (seventy-two) hours.
